Thomas J. Morrison, III, M.D.

Thomas J. Morrison III, M.D. is a neurosurgeon at Peachtree Neurosurgery specializing in neck, back and cranial surgery and the correction of scoliosis. He discusses the choices and probable outcomes with a patient before treating conditions.  Non-surgical and surgical treatment options are always reviewed and considered when developing a treatment plan.  Dr. Morrison’s patient care consistently has high outcome scores when compared to expected outcomes.

Dr. Morrison is well versed in the latest techniques in neurosurgery. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where he graduated Cum Laude. He attended medical school in Atlanta at the Emory University School of Medicine. He was a resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and completed a Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in spinal deformity. Peachtree Neurosurgery welcomed him to the practice in 2004 and he earned his neurosurgery board certification by passing the American Board of Neurosurgery exams in 2008.  Dr. Morrison continues to learn and develop his medical education as well as authoring publications on advancements in surgical techniques. He has participated in two research studies of cervical disc replacements.

Dr. Morrison resides in Atlanta with his wife Mara and their two children.  He is a Georgia native from the historical and beautiful coastal city of Savannah. Dr. Morrison, as many in Atlanta will testify, enjoys the southern climate and style of living.
