Our neurosurgeons and their support staff provide specialized treatment for brain and spine disorders and injuries. The group was established in 1979 to meet the needs of the growing community and has continued to grow as a practice serving the diverse communities of central and north Atlanta.

Dr. Max Steuer is the senior member of the group joining in 1991. Drs. Chris Tomaras and Thomas Morrison became members in Peachtree Neurosurgery in 1998 and 2004 respectively.

Neurosurgery is much more than just brain and spine surgery. Neurosurgery includes the oversight of treatment both surgically and non-surgically, for pain, lack of mobility, and life threatening disorders caused by herniated discs, spine instability, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, degenerative spine disease, brain tumors, brain aneurysms, spinal cord tumors, and trigeminal neuralgia.

Our neurosurgeons use the highest level of technology in the operating room and are trained and experienced in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques. They continue to expand their expertise and clinical outcomes through research by receiving the latest medical education for performing procedures, and by conducting clinical trials. We are currently participating in a one-level cervical disc replacement study, as well as a two-level cervical disc replacement study.  If you are interested in participating in one of these studies or wish to know more, please contact us.
